Ascended gear. What will this mean for crafters?
Until we get more information about these items, no one will have a good answer. In that light, it’s best to hold the rage for now until they do give a better explanation of the items.

I’m not raging. I’m just voicing a concern and asking the question to see what other crafters think about gear creep.
Crafters nearly always get marginalized by gear creep.
We get new recipes and crafting materials for this event.

This means crafters will now have to get in good with any type of farmer because the crafted items will require gifts to create. Who else wants to call it?

Then again Anet my not have crafter need 250 of everything plus the kitchen sink to make something…………naw, they will, Grin.
Isnt that just a mathmatical oddity…everything takes 250 of something to make…
There is no worse feeling than that during an argument, you realize you are wrong.
The Lost Shores entry on the wiki includes a list of new features to be introduced. This includes “a new resource to harvest with 200 new crafting recipes”.
