from last patch: “Added Mystic Forge recipes to convert ascended rings to their infused versions.”

So, i have 2 ascended rings without inbuild infusion. Anyone knows how can i upgrade it in MF to have inbuild infusion?

Any Ascended ring + 1 Shard of Crystallized Mist Essence + 3 Globs of Crystallized Mist Essence + 5 Vials of Crystallized Mist Essence. I believe that’s the recipe.

so no more 250 globs of ecto to infuse it?

no more? you couldnt upgrade them before.
too bad you still need 250 ectos for the backpiece?

250 ectos is for the back, that recipe is still there and still the only way to upgrade a back piece.

oh! sorry, I got confused. so now it’s an added option to “infuse” the rings? just making sure.

Does it give u the same ring infused back or does it give u a random infused ring?

Now say i pop a soulbound ring in there. Does it create a new account bound ring or does it remain soulbound?

It IS a new ring that you get, sooo my guess is that it isn’t bound to that character anymore.

I’ve upgraded 2 rings with this method now.

It gives the same ring (same name and stats), but with pre-infusion.

It is no longer soulbound, only account bound.

The slotted infusion will be destroyed, the new item with pre-infusion will come with an empty slot for you to place in a new infusion.

Is there any update on when the insane 250 ecto’s for the back piece upgrade is going to get lowered? According to the Reddit Q&A they were going to do this.

If you’re tracking them closely enough to have read that, what makes you think you missed that big of a reveal about the future?
