I just saw the footage of the greatswords and they are BEAUTIFUL. However, does mean if you want a colour but not the stats you gotta make 2 and transmute…

I’m stoked at how good looking they are though!

I personally find them meh. They are kinda thin and pointy looking and with that hilt, it reminds me of a chandelier for some reason. I would have preferred a claymore look but with a wider blade.

I was so excited for ascended weapons skins but If I’m honest I’m not a fan. Some look better than others i.e. the white one for healing stat but in general they look far to thin and flimsy. For female characters I guess this works great but for my male characters its not so appealing. If I’m honest a lot of other skins seem to top the ascended ones, especially some of the newer chest drop ones.

Only skins we’ve seen of Ascended so far is the greatsword (and maybe rifle).

I actually rather like them myself, especially the different color schemes. You probably will have to make two different ascended weapons if you want one stat but a different color.

I like the GS skin. Looks unique and distinctive, while not being overkill.

heh, first glance remidned me of wintersday weapons. too thing and… delicate if you ask me. BUT, i am holding my breath (sort of) and waiting to see them in game. : ))) lovign the different color schemes for sure.

I’ll probably be wasting even more gold for gems to get Transmute Crystals to cover most of mine up with the Gw1 skins I still prefer over anything else in the game.

They should have just gone with the Crystal Sword motif instead if they were supposed to be “Ascended”. (they’re made specifically from a Vision Crystal… it would have made a lot more sense)

GS looked very nice Wish they were just dyeable though, so you don’t need to craft 2 for stat / color plus buy a transmute cystal -.-
