I want to use crating to level but I am new to this game and dont know whcih is the best one, cheapest to max.
Is it still possible to max cooking with karma?

Cooking, Artificing, Armor skills (leather, tailor, armor), Jeweler, Weapon Skills (weaponsmith, huntsman)

In roughly that order. Cooking needs some silver, but can be done with a lot of karma to skip expensive recipes. I didn’t use vanilla at all when I leveled mine.

So cooking wont cost more than 1g to max?

is there a guide somewhere that shows all the steps to max cooking with the help of karma?

Those are pretty good imo.

Cheapest Cooking, Artificer [becoming expensive as of late due to rise in price of Pile of Luminous Dust] then Jeweler.

All the rest are expensive and quite useless to level.

AM i missing something here, the guide says that I should discover some cooking recipes after certain levels but I cant see them?
the one from reddit for example says at level 150 Discover: Grilled Portobello Mushroom, yet i cant see it. Stuck at level 151 now

They mean to use the discovery tab to find the recipe
