A friend and I was joking around about my Legendary Bolt. He threw out a joke saying that when I use waypoint it should look like a lightning bolt striking the ground from the sky. Even though it was a joke, it’s an awesome idea.

To add to that idea, I think it would be great if my mesmer had sword #3 skill, illusionary leap, affected. When using swap from illusionary leap it should also look like a lightning bolt striking the ground from the sky. Same for blink!

Also, it would be better if the aura was everlasting while the sword is equipped. Meaning that the aura should always appear whether the sword is stowed or out. I can’t speak for everyone, but I would prefer if it the aura never dissipated. With myself included, I know of a number of people that use a bug to keep the aura going while the sword is stowed. Maybe most legendary wielders would prefer to have their weapon’s aura appear all the time while it is equipped. You can ask the community how they feel about it but I think most would like it.

They shouldnt do anything with bolt… It has effects, an aura etc.

They should instead focus n meteorlogicus and minstrel

Definately, i’m like 10% comp from getting my Minstrel. I’d like footprints and a bit more noticable effects if anything. I love the current effects, it’s just a bummer that they don’t always activate.

thats right my friend i REALLY love my minstrel and meteorlogicus but both need one rework.. the focus have a bug with musical notes almost never leave (sorry for my bad english..)

I understand how you feel but this isn’t a thread about The Minstrel and Meterogolicus being lackluster. You can make your own thread talking about it. As a matter of fact, there are already countless threads about that. This thread is about how to make Bolt more awesome than it already is. No need to act like children and whine on every single thread that is even remotely discussing a legendary and its effects.

You obviously didn’t read, or just plainly ignored his statement.

While yes, Meteorlogicus and Minstrel are both badly in need of an update, this thread was meant to be about brainstorming ideas on how to improve bolt as well. It’s not a crime to ask for updates for the other legendary weapons too, I’d just hope Anet prioritizes the worse legendary weapons first.

At the OP, while I personally don’t like Bolt in any shape or form, I think a lightning strike on transporting effects (similar to lightning flash) would be a cool addition to it

the footfalls on Bolt could be a little bigger…

This topic is about bolt, not the kitten harp or blob stick. But yeah, I think the teleport lightning effect would be awesome. Thief +bolt would be amazing with lightning port. Might have to make a Sylvari with mushroom cap and name him Raiden though.

I want thief to offhand sword so can dual wield Bolts. dual Bolt on mesmer (clones don’t show any offhand weap so no dual Bolt on them :-s), and well Rampager s/s warrior is a complete mystery.

Actually I want offhand sword for guardian/ranger/thief and ele.

It isn’t a mystery, it is just not viable for PvE, or WvW.

All the legendary could use more integrated skill effects per class, but that demands work. Work that is used else where at the moment.

Bolt still has that bug where you get two of it stacked above one another after each swing.

But sure be sweet if the currently legendaries are updated again. If it is in the plans at all =p

I’m going after Bolt. Always thought it was a little lack luster and in my opinion doesn’t compare to Kudzu (footprints), Dreamer (Unicorn shots), Incinerator and sometimes the Predator. I obviously left out Sunrise/Twilight because they obviously focused most of their artistic resources on those 2.

I do agree that a lot of other legendaries need help like Minstrel and Meteorologicus.But please, stop hijacking this thread.
