There’s not much evidence out there, it seems. Has somebody seen an actual study on it? If there isn’t, if we started compiling an actual table on the Wiki, all it would take is several people breaking down 10 ectos with the highest kit and lowest kit to start seeing a trend.

Master’s is best for getting dusts with ectos. And so, yes the kit does effect the drop rate of dusts. You can try it out yourself.

I seem to recall someone here (Mystic?) doing some research after the change was made. It showed that kit quality DOES make a difference, and that BLSK’s give the best return (although not by much, compared to Master’s/Mystic SK’s). So yes, if you’re salvaging Ectos, use Master’s/Mystic SK’s.
