Bug w/ Celestial Ori. Imbued Ins.?
You need the celestial recipe for the conch. Celestial isn’t discovered like traditional pearl junk. The recipe can be bought from the TP for a premium price these days by a hauled market, once you learned the recipe the conch is automatically discovered. you’re welcome friend cheers!

Thanks for the reply Cries, unfortunately you buy the recipe for the inscription, not the weapon.
I just purchased all the recipes for all top tier inscriptions to test others.
I was able to “discover” the weapons for some of the other inscriptions (see the attached).
For the example: I was able to “discover” the Carrion Pearl Trident. But when I use the exact same method with the Celestial Orrian Imbued Inscription – the inscription doesn’t show up.
Nvm, I re-read what you said and tried it. Yes, you are right – for the Celestial – I need to buy that recipe for the weapon as well.
I didn’t think I had to do that before as I thought I discovered the first one awhile ago – but I must have already had it.
Man, why would they change the process for crafting items ONLY on select items?
Here, we’ll let you learn our crafting system which follows the same scheme for 400 levels.
Create inscription, create weapon parts, discover weapon.
Then, for all exotics – EXCEPT Celestial – learn inscription recipe, create inscription, create weapon parts, discover weapon.
For Celestial, learn inscription recipe, learn weapon recipe, create inscription, create weapon parts – create weapon.
What makes Celestial so special of an exotic that they had to make it different? I can understand if it was for Ascended or a Legendary precursor…
Sorry, I’m just mad I wasted time with different crap trying to figure out why I couldn’t create it like I could create others.

I think they made special recipes for each weapon and armor piece because those recipes were introduced to suck some oversupplied mats out of the market.
You had to exchange hard leather or silk scraps, for example. to get zephyr boxes, which mostly dropped those recipes.
If it was just the inscription, the insignia and the quartz crystal recipe, not much mats would have sinked in.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.

They didn’t change the process just for celestial items. Any recipe from any crafting profession that has a recipe you have to buy/find requires you to read the recipe first. These cannot be discovered.
The most common occurance of this is from heart vendors selling weapon and armor recipes such as: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bloodsaw_Leather_Work_Boots
During Dragonbash there were Dragon’s Revelry Starcake which were rng from BLTC:

You may know the components to make items such as these but you can’t make them without the recipe. This wasn’t some new exception created just for celestial gear.
