Hi All,

I’ve been getting very confused by this, perhaps someone can help me.

I’ve been quite happily applying tier 1 gemstones (i.e. ones with 1 stat bonus) to my item’s upgrade slots, howeber I recently found my first tier 2 item (2 stat bonuses). It is a Topaz Nugget. For some reason I can’t apply this to any items, it just shows a red square as I hover over the item.

Anyone know what’s going on?

I’m lvl 20 (Thief), and have jeweller at lvl 23.

One of my guildies had the same problem, after having him link everything I noticed that the item he was trying to put the gem into was level 10, while the gem was level 20. He got a pair of lvl 20 legs and the gem went right in. I believe the gem/rune level can’t be over the items actual level.

Fellstar is correct, the level of the item you wish to put the gem in must also match the level of the gem, not just you.
