Sometimes I need to buy several mats for cooking (say, sour cream and water) and I’m not quite sure how much I currently have in my Collectibles.

Could there be a tooltip on mouseover that would indicate how many of each item we currently have? Also would help when I’m stockpiling from Karma vendors and want a full stack, but forgot I already have a partial.

Even if it meant holding these items in inventory. Obviously I have a short memory span because for the 3 or 4 items I’m buying, I can’t remember how many of each I actually have when I go to buy. :-P

Open your hero panel and click on the crafting tab. The recipes list will show you what you can or cannot craft based on your stockpile in inventory/bank/collectibles, just as if you were at the crafting station. Of course, this only applies to the crafting disciplines active on that toon.

Thanks, but that has nothing to do with purchasing ingredients from vendors. I am interested in knowing how many of a given ingredient I have so that I can purchase the correct amount as seamlessly as possible.

If you select the recipe that uses the ingredient it also tells you how much you have in your inventory + bank + collection. That is the number in [ ].
