With the recent announcement of crafting going to 500 and more ascended items to be introduced I am wondering if I should wait with my hybrid-gear or just craft it now.

Also how will magic find be replaced on current gear, did they hint at how they are going to compensate for that when it will be removed? Will already crafted gear automatically be changed to the new stats?

I am hesitant to craft it if I have to replace my armor again in a few weeks.

Well Ascended gear is coming and current Celestial gear is exotic… so yeah if you want the best stats you will have to replace it.

My suggestion would be to wait, I also want to get a Celestial set for my Elementalist but in the meantime I’m trying to get as many Charged Quartz as possible. I want to see how they implement the magic find replacement and the stats of the new Ascended gear before I’m forced to throw a good set of exotic gear.

This. It seems many people expect the changes in the blogpost to come soon, but I doubt it. These were goals set for the end of 2013, and we’ve got a long ways to go. I’m holding the view it’s worth the risk to make celestial gear now, and am almost done making it for my elementalist. Plus, you never know if you’ll find it to be sub-par compared to other sets. I’d rather waste celestial-specific materials on an exotic set than time-gated ascended materials on a potentially bad set :/
