I can understand Ascended gear being account bound/untradable/time gated and all that nonsense, but why is it that people who actually bother to craft things can’t sell the exotic gear? I for one am never going to try crafting, I don’t want to, I didn’t like it, and the economy is there so that I don’t have to craft in order to have gear. Except that apparently you, the developers, only want to allow the “grinders” of the game to have this stat choice for gear. I know it’s been like this a while, but honestly I thought when ascended gear became available that this would change, but it hasn’t.

Then again maybe I’m the only one out there that can enjoy the game without the crafting/PvE/living story/gear grinding.

It doesn’t take that long to craft it. If you missed the quartz while they were cheap (this is the real issue tbh) that’s unfortunate. Hoping for a wupwup chest is so unlikely its just silly.

Celestial gear lost the MF stat with no replacement which while not huge did count for something. Not many builds can actually use every stat on celestial so its certainly not for everyone. To that end, you could use a mix of pieces (which may even be better if you can’t use all stats from celestial) which would allow for you to focus slightly more on one stat or another. If you want high toughness with minor power knights is the choice with precision too but if you have access to fury easily and critical hit chance traits you may want to add in some cavalier for crit dmg. Something to that effect.

I did the new lions arch yak escort for a few minutes just chatting about the update and got well over 15 charged quartz crystals from giant present boxes that dropped. Quartz dropped by more than half because of this from 3s to 1.3s practically overnight.

yes when people started saying presents were droping charged quartz like candy I was wtfing in guild chat…its probably a good change but at same time they completely went back on what they were saying about quartz and the home instance node in the first place. Ohwell cats out of bag. Snowflakes droped fast in price too.

I’m glad the quartz is dropping from the presents, but as someone who diligently logged on every day just to convert my quartz to charged quartz, I’m a bit disappointed.

Either change the time gating or leave it as it. I don’t need quartz welfare and I feel it just rewards people who didn’t plan ahead. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the time gating and I think it should NOT be there. I feel I wasted my time making 30 charged quartz crystals last month because I only needed to escort dolyaks for a few hours. That makes me sad.

Major issue (for Exotic crafting and helping with leveling to 500) is still the outrageous cost of the Celestial recipes currently on the TP.

I would have expected they possibly allowed Celestial items to be discovered (like all other Exotics) when they reset all the Exotic discoveries. Of course those selling the recipes on the TP would be POed if that happened…..

I can only guess they are planning to bring back the Bazaar of the 4 Winds pretty soon (and that will REALLY PO those that go out and spend 10 gold for a TP recipe now that they have abundant Charged Crystals).

From tonight’s latest patch notes, it might be a good time to re-purchase quartz since its still selling for about 1.2s, that is if you didnt get all the cqc you could ever need already while it was bugged.

Why?….just go farm some gifts. I can understand some people that knee-jerked and used all their Charged QC to level crafting being POed at this change….errrr bug fix.

Quartz price has slightly recovered but it’s still down from pre-patch.
