Is salvage kits the only factor of getting a greater value material when salvaging something?
For example Valuable Metal Scrap can salvage to 1-3 Mithril Ore and an Orichalcum Ore.
What are the chances of the result? If I use a Crude Salvage Kit that has NO chance of getting a rare material, this means that I will never ever get an Orichalcum Ore from that item?
If this is the case is simply enough to make a spreadsheet covering all the results by the salvage kit you use. If that’s not the case, is there any basic chance? Is there any DR on that basic chance?! By basic chance I mean in the previous example a standard lets say 10% of getting an Orichalcum Ore and when using a salvage kit with 50% added value that will sum up to 60%.

In another thread a Dev was adamant that the is no DR on salvage attempts. As in posted the same sentence three times kinda adamant :p.

While Ori Ore is “rare” as in not as common, it is not technically a Rare material. Ectos are rare materials. I have gotten ori ores from Metal scraps and metal weapons many times. Although I cannot speak to the actual % chance of it, I know you you CAN get htme with a crude kit.
