Instead of taking 3 Damask each to craft the Ascended Insignias, make them take 3 Elonian Leather, or 2 Leather and 1 Damask. This would help even out the market for all the cooldown items. Right now the Leather is worthless while Damask is 12g each.

Another reason why damask is really expensive is that its new. People have been stocking up on leather for a while now since you could make them with huntsman. Damask has been slowly dropping though I do agree that it’ll never go down to leather. It’s fairly similar to the rest of the tiers of leather though since just not as many things take leather than silk or ore.

Damask will drop down to material prices or thereabouts just like the other ascended gated stuff. I would give it 3-5 weeks or so. At that point, most of the people who are doing daily crafting for their gear will have made their set and will then be dumping it on the market in mass.

It’ll take longer with Damask since it takes so long to make a full set, but it will eventually settle down. The stat difference is pretty low, so unless you really need it right now, I would just sell now and wait.

Right, but they could bring up the price of Elonian Leather immediately with this change. Or add a second recipe.
