Why is the cost for changing crafts so high relative to the almost negligible amount of time it takes to switch characters? 80s to switch to and back from a craft vs a few seconds to logout and log back in.

I believe this has to be looked at, as there is almost no reason not to level crafts on multiple characters as opposed to one character.

Except that each craft will get you 10 levels of xp, which for some people is evidently worth the 80s.

Get another alt. I have 3 80s and all I have to do is log over to use whatever profession I want. 3 80s also makes farming Orichalcum, Ancients, and jumping puzzles, very lucrative. Once I get a legendary i’ll level a 4th to get the last of the crafting covered.

Just save the craft you actually want to use for last last when leveling from crafting. Don’t have to spend 80s.

Oh I’m not suggesting switching back and forth repeatedly. Does anyone actually do that?

The cost is high because you’re not supposed to do it. If they wanted each character to readily master all 8 crafts, there would be no 2-craft restriction in the first place.

As an altoholic, I just have alts with different professions. It’s easy enough.

yeah, when i heard that you could level all crafting professions on the same character i thought it would be cool to have a crafting character like i did in global agenda. a few sentences later i heard that it would cost money to switch back i decided that it would be cooler to do it on 4 characters like i originally thought.

400 in everything but tailor/artificer and no regrets.
