I have officially verified the recipe of Eidolon. The exotic shield that has the same cosmetics as the Guardian’s Shield Of Avenger. I hope this will help other players and encourages them to make more of these! Enjoy!

Big thanks to the OP for pushing the button on that. I’ve been looking at that recipe in the wiki and wondering what it exactly looks like for a while now .

And yes, there is clearly somebody at ANet with a serious obseession with Charged Loadstones in charge of the recipies. In this case it’s part of a set (the Gift of Light weapons all have a shared theme) but they show up an awful lot as components of singular items too.

Oh come on, who didn’t see this coming? All of the Guardian summons use the GoL. :P

The graphics….oh dear god, like I travaled back in time 10 years…

This isn’t completely on topic, but it is about the Eidolon, more specifically the gift of light. Where/how did you farm the Charged Lodestones, as many people have said their prices have skyrocketed to the point that farming would most likely be more time efficient.

But pretty much anything crafted in this game is grind and farmer oriented. Why the devs simply choose to maintain this mechanic is beyond me, most likely no imagination and some misguided thought process that alot of something equals keeping players in a game.

When the recipes call for hundred/hundreds of anything then the mechanic and the person making that mechanic is flawed.

Maybe in a few patches Anet will find a more common sense approach to non grind, non farmer game mechanics and get creative on drops and or quests for drops. Right now RNG, grinding, Farming, isnt for me. In the meantime i will explore and enjoy the sound and artwork.

Yea… when you do screenshots for this, you really should put on max settings. Even if your system can’t handle it and you are getting 1 frames per second, it doesn’t matter, at least it will be a decent single frame picture.
