Guild Wars 2

According to everywhere I’ve Google-d, the recipe is:
1 Stick of Butter
1 Vanilla Bean
1 Jug of Water
1 Bag of Sugar

However, when I try combining these materials together in Discovery, I seem to get the wrong combination. Any idea why?

Not 100% sure, but I thought this recipe was added to your book automatically and wasn’t a discovery recipe.

It’s learned automatically at cooking 75, that’s the reason you can’t discover it.

Yeah you should have it. I think its the Chocolate frosting that is a discovery, if I remember correctly….either that or the cherry filling, man I cant remember haha.

Well this is a year later for the white frosting and it still can’t be made with the recipe everyone has on wiki or here…I submitted a screen shot and some data to the GW2 staff hoping it will get fixed..otherwise I can’t continue and make Chocolate frosting lol…haha joke on me…i bought enough for 20 bowls of white frosting!

The lack of any progression structure as you advance in Cooking throws a lot of people. If you can’t DISCOVER it and you KNOW you have the level for making it, it’s almost ABSOLUTELY in your crafting list already. The exception to this is recipes that MUST be purchased from NPCs in open-world Zones.

Make sure you don’t have any of the filters turned on, which would make the recipe invisible. Once your cooking level hits 75, white frosting shouldn’t require discovery.
