I was wondering if it would be possible to use a transmutated skin in the recipe for a corrupted weapon?

For example: I take a lvl 78 Shaman’s Etched Bulwark of whatever…..put on a sigil of rage…then transmutate it using a fine stone to lvl 80 to make a lvl 80 Shaman’s Etched Bulwark of Rage

Would the resulting shield work in the recipe?

Sadly i beleve it wont work. I cant know for sure since i havent tryed it, but i think its same deal as with pre-cursors. If you transmute it its not weapon that goes into recipe anymore…On other hand it doesnt cost you much to test this.

transmuted items do not work IIRC because you are actually changing the item.

if i understand transmuting correctly, the end-product will be of the quality / status / what-have-you of the item that you took the stats for (i.e. not the skin / sigil).

and like Dempsey said, you’ve changed the item completely so I assume it wouldn’t work either. but that’s just a guess.
