Cost of materials for 1-400
Far too many variables to consider frankly. Depends on your server’s economy.

Server: Tarnished Coast
there is no server economy, it’s a global economy…..
So every server funnels through the BLTC?

NVM found it on the wiki.

Still the variables are hard to determine based on the fluctuating prices of resources.

Before I discuss the issues with the trading post, I want to point out to those who haven’t spent time with the trading post how great it is. The global trading and visible quantities gives you a sense of the massive scale of the game and economy.

the most recent example posted on sept 14. But there were plenty of other times it was stated before this.

I don’t know the costs, but I made my elementalist for the sole purpose of leveling cooking. All her money and karma earned is going towards cooking. I can pick up the costs of traits and stuff with my thief.

How didn’t you know this? Did you really think your server alone could produce 1231398321987 copper ore?
I realize it probably fluctuates some but I am just looking for a rough estimate. Is it 2-3 gold worth of supplies or higher at like 5+?
I’ve gone through about 30, maybe 40g levelling all the professions except huntsman and tailor (which I’m currently in the process of leveling) to 400 each. So probably about 50g roughly. Prices for low level materials has gone up due to the whole mystic forge “junk” recipies

Would you like a side of troll with that? My numbers are cut off when I look at the main trading tab so I didn’t see the whole number.

well first off since this is an alt you must have materials from your main unless you crafted on your main. And if you crafted on your main I see absolutely no reason to craft on an alt but whatever floats your boat
First off I would start with 2 tradeskills first-cooking and jewelry making and do them to 400 then see where you are
Reason for this is they are the easiest 2 and neither one used the tiny fangs, claws, blood etc etc
2nd if you have any tendency to use the gem store buy some keys and open some chests you will randomly get a TS booster which per description will give you bonus exp with every combination
Now I would not use them until youre done cooking and Jewelry.
Once you are done those 2 go artificer, ws, as, or huntsman those require wood and metal.
Wood and metal are pretty much in abundance and alot easier to obtain then leather and silk and there is more on the trader
I honestly do not know how much you have to do on a fesh character to get to 80 but the above is certainly what I would do
I don’t believe I’ve even seen a list of how many of what material would be needed to level a craft from 1-400. You’d need that before you could make an estimate on how much gold it would cost. Plus, both the list of mats and the costs would be estimates, so I’m not sure how accurate you could really figure it.
Artificing is hella easy. Costs 1 gold if you do it right. Here’s how:
1. Make tuning crystals at each level until you don’t get xp for it and then merch them. You can usually get a better price then what you pay on dust on the TP (usually i made 1 cp or break even).
2. When you aren’t getting xp for tuning crystals make potions of centaur slaying. When this stops giving you xp make potions of dredge or ogre slaying.
3. This may seem redundant but at any point that you can make xp for it make tuning crystals. They are the cheapest way to level.
4. You cannot use potions to get from 390 to 400. As such you have to use the discovery system (like you would for most other crafts). You should be able to do it in 3-4 discoverys of rare top tier items. Most of these merch for about the same as materials.
