So my weaponsmith is actually level 19 and I don’t have any motivation to neither level him to 80 nor to level weaponsmith to 500 with one of my 4 80’s. I figured that it would be possible to craft and give the weapons to my other characters just like legendary gifts for example.

But I still am anxious about this. Will I be able to craft ascended weapons with my low level character and give the crafted weapons to my other characters?

The weapons are going to be account bound, so unless they implement some strange mechanic that only allows 80 to craft, It should be possible for you to bank it and take it out with another character

The celestial recipes require you to be lvl 80 so i wouldnt be surprised, if thats the case for ascended weapons as well.

That USED to be true. They have since fixed that and now, as long as you have 400 crafting skill, you don’t need to be 80 to learn the recipe.

You can craft on a low level character. Based on the stream none of the items or recipe had a level requirement. They just had a crafting level requirement (e.g. Weaponsmith 450 or 500).

Just as it should be, req a lv 80 for a crafting profession is not cool as the 2 things are completely separate progression paths.

I raged about this some time ago, good to see they actually listen sometimes at least !
