Crafting Booster Waste of Money?
Umm… I think the crafting booster increases the rate of gaining crafting levels, meaning you spend less mats on the way to 400 which is not a small benefit.
Try to read the tooltip next time. Crafting booster gives chance for that extra crafting exp (the number that appears after the + in the popup), meaning you will level your discipline faster. The level gain does not change. Your character still gains 10 levels for getting a discipline from 0 to 400.
No they don’t really help level up a profession faster, they help with maybe 10% of all your lvls.
Like i said discoveries are 100% chance bonus xp, so these boosters are only good for first 20 lvls per tier crafting while crafting the base tier components.
I guess maybe if you don’t effectively level up a profession, meaning not doing all discoveries and crafting the same item over and over again. Then maybe you would level up your profession faster, but this is a total waste when can do new discoveries all the way though leveling a profession and get guaranteed bonus xp for free.
Pro tip:
In many tiers it’s much, much cheaper to level by discovering and crafting upgrade components. There’s one for every 25 levels. Combined with the booster it’s dirt cheap and fast.
@Sins: No, discoveries give double xp for the craft. You can still gain bonus xp ontop of that
The booster is on any crafted item. So like when you do your 200 copper to copper bar combines you get increased experience. If you for example discovered the emerald mithril ring if you make that item again you will still get the experience boost
It does not count on discoveries only everything else it works.
Whether that make it worth it is of varied opinion
I for example had tons of tier 2 blood, t3 claws and not alot of the other stuff so it made sense for me
