Guild Wars 2

Hello. I am working on crafting my first legendary weapon – Quip.
It requires a Gift of Entertainment and the wiki page says it requires lvl 400 Armorsmith.
I as an engineer have no use of this profession and I think it would be stupid to make me lvl it just to craft one single item. I don’t want to play other classes too so this profession is useless to me.

Is there a way to make it as a leatherworker? I have leatherworking maxed out so that would be cool.

i think your right and its strange to have a recipe specificaly made for 1 weapon that is not used by any heavy class(pistol)

but i doubt theyre going to change it because it has been like this for so long now

It’s also used for the Moot which is likely why it requires armor smiting (it’s a weapon ONLY heavies can use)

No, the gifts are tied to their various crafting professions. Its ‘incentive’ (if you want to look at it that way) to learn that profession.

So you have a few choices here:

Learn it and level it on your engineer (which you’ve stated you don’t want to do)
OR
Stick it on another character and level it there (which you also said you didn’t want to do)
OR
Not do that legendary

Pick your poison

I am probably going to do one of these things but what is the official “channel” to make a complaint about this?

The place to complain would be a Suggestion post in the Guild Wars 2 Discussion forum. However at this point in the game there is about zero percent chance they will do anything about it as it would effect all the other players who are leveling or have leveled armorcrafting for this reason. Changing it now would mess up all those people.
