Crafting Precursors.
1 Go outside and dig around in a clover patch, find a four leaf clover.
2 Go to the grocery and buy some Lucky Charms
3 Find a horseshoe
4 Take said horseshoe and stick it up your kitten
5 Throw everything in the forge while eating Lucky Charms with the clover taped to your forehead
6 Offer your Lucky Charm/horseshoe infused kitten to the mystic toilet and pray to the toilet troll
7 Repeat 1-6

Hey there,
I’ve been thinking about going after Incinerator and was wondering what would be the best way of obtaining ‘Spark.’ The Incinerator precursor. I heard that mystic forging rares used to work, but apparently that got nerfed, I never checked patch notes for that nerf and was wondering if it is still possible to craft Spark and any other precurser using corresponding rares? Or do I have to use exotic daggers now to craft it?
There’s a few ways to get a precursor all of them are pretty much rng. you can throw lvl 75/76+ or 80 rares or exotics in the forge. There’s getting them from guild missions, random drops, and chests or saving up the gold to buy it. You get a slightly better chance with exotics than rares. But sometimes you can sell an exotic then buy cheaper rares and get more attempts in. The two key factors that matter are “level” and “rarity” of the items. Higher the two factors then the better the chances.
The most cost-effective strategy right now is to buy it.
On average, crafting using exotics is the most expensive way to obtain it. Crafting with rares is, on average, also more expensive than purchasing it but significantly less expensive than crafting with exotics if you sell all the exotics produced from your rare combine attempts.
Believe it or not, precursors are actually relatively underpriced right now compared to the materials used to forge them.
