How much of a problem would this be? I started as a thief and ended up dropping it for a mesmer, but my thief has much more of the map completed than the mesmer. The mesmer on the other hand has the professions I need leveled completely already, and a lot more karma. I’ve been trying to get 100% world completion on the thief while playing the mesmer and gathering the rest of the materials I need. Is this viable or am I going to run in to some issues doing it this way?

Just check what component is not bound to the char, and keep going. Some components are per char, some are interchangeable between chars of your account.

Either way it is not too big of a deal, as the weapon on final completion is bind on equip, so you can give it to any of your lvl 80 characters, and/or me.

I guess he was scared to have some components locked to a char, some others to an other char, wasting loads of time and resources having half work done splitted, and everything ready except.. he cannot craft his weapon hehe. Follow my suggestion, plan your work

I think Bloodstone Shard, Phil Stones and Crystals are Soulbound, and so is the Precursor if you equip it. Beyond that, everything is Account Bound – clovers, gifts etc.

This is from personal experience but I haven’t finished the weapon yet so it’s not exhaustive.
