Crafting for the un-crafty.
In a nutshell, chef and artificer appear to the easiest (read: fastest and ultimately cheapest) to max, though chef gets a bit complicated. Skip armorsmith and weaponsmith as there are frequent dead levels (levels where the items you make are expensive to craft and literally can’t be sold for profit).
If this is your first character, I suggest you just play the actual game and not the silly Crafting Wars within the game. You’re not being punished nor “losing out” on XP by ignoring crafting, you’re freeing yourself from the doldrums of standing around making widgets while dressed in armor and bedecked in weapons—a bit of a dichotomy there.
By the way, there are already number of threads in this forum that can answer your questions.
I had looked; but I proably had not found the right search terms, Well I do appreciate your taking the time to anwser, and I appreciate the guidance. Thankyou.
Go to gw2crafts.net, look at all the automatic guides, pick the one crafting profession that has the cheapest total investment calculated. Chef is usually one of the cheapest but it can also be tricky since the cheapest route involves getting karma items from renowned hearts vendors.
I got to 80 without crafting, it’s not so hard actually as you can just explore maps for experience. This is the other good way of obtaining xp if you don’t like to craft.
