So i’m kinda new to crafting in this game, my main is a cook and I hate it. but my alt is a tailor my question is.. What happens when I lvl up more and I get cotton drops not jute? so i have to buy from the TP? it’s really pricey on my server so maybe there is something im missing or am I doomed to pay for over priced mats?

Go back to the lower lvl areas where you received Jute drops before, or salvage from lower level light armor class items.
I believe I read an ANet post that said they tried to keep lower lvl regions dropping lower lvl mats for this exact reason.

If you lack low level materials, you can always go back to the starter areas (including the ones for the other races) and collect more. You can also try to maximize the gain for the jute you already have by carefully planning and gain as much from discovery as possible.

Also keep in mind that a lot of the low end light armor (not sure up to what level) will salvage into jute as well.

ahhh okay cause I saw that when I was playing with my friend at lower lvl’s on my main- the drops scaled with me so i’ll go back to lower lvl’s then THANK YOU:D
