Guild Wars 2

I had a few stacks of wool, cloth etc. But used them up pretty quickly with ascended crafting. What are good ways to get these on a level 80 character? I seem to only get a good yield if I play an alt, but that alt is slowly becoming max level and getting the things I don’t really need. Is playing TP my only option?

I don’t know how much it actually effects but I notice that the higher salvage kits say that they have a better chance of giving the higher tier mats, so may be using a basic or even a crude salvage kit would help and save on buy the kits.

Best bet is to look into the different level loot bags lower tier enemies drop and farm them (or buy them on the TP). The level of the loot bag itself determines the materials they generate (not the level of the character that obtains the drop).
