I’v encountered this problem that while i craft stuff, most of the time i wont get the xp for my characters level (1-80) on warrior, but while i was on necromancer, every craft gave me more and more xp…

Just wondering if anybody else has encountered this, and if yes, is it a bug or Working as intended?

Not yet. I have an alt that is lvl 26 strictly from crafting using mats my main has gathered.

Not gaining exp from mere crafting itself. Just exp rewards for character level when I gain level(s) in crafting.

I have noticed something like that.

Anets stated that you could level 1-80 by just getting 1-400 in the 8 crafting professions.

On my most recent character (Engineer), i have leveled 7 of the 8 professions to 400 as well as fully completing the starter area, moving on to the next area and received 5000+ point of Karma from DE’s but I am only a third through level 68.

So that is less than 10 levels of character xp per 1-400 crafting profession.

On my first character made at headstart (ranger), I was getting more than 10 levels per 1-400 in crafting.

Also just noticed that have received the Master Crafter title but no points (0) awarded in the Achievements panel.

10 levels per craft is the ideal situation, but in practice it will be a bit less because whatever item pushes you to a new player level has its xp calculated as a percentage of the previous level, which is therefore a smaller percentage of the next level. It is also possible to get more than 10 levels either (I think) by using crafting boosters or (definitely) by starting below level 15, because you level faster through the first 15 than you do afterwards.

I started crafting at lvl 1, used boosters all way through. Did not go out to starting area until about level 48.

Boosters do not affect crafting exp at all. They affect the amount of exp you get per craft, but ultimately, this only changes how quickly you reach 400, not how much exp it took to get there.

Okay, thanks for all the replies, quess i remembered the exp from necromancer wrong then^^
