I’m a master crafter and I’m very dissapointed with the fact certain recipes have a character level requirement instead of a crafting level requirement !!!

what is the point of leveling my crafting to the max ? in say huntsman and now if I want to make a corrupted rifle I can’t even though my character is a master huntsman of a lower level as a toon !!!

Those “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” are a pain to read…

The stats on the gear are what make your crafts level bound. If you really want the skin of the things you make, then you have two choices: use a transmutation stone to reskin gear at your current level or reach the level requirement. That is probably the most constructive a response you’ll get. I’d also recommend “looking before you leap.”

The OP is talking about not being able to learn the recipe, because the recipe requires character level 80. Then you have to be crafting level 400 to use the recipe.

I agree that it makes no sense to have a level restriction on the consumable recipes.
