Hello,

Here’s a simple, potentially dumb question about crafting: A crafted item (talking mostly armor pieces here) has a default look. Can I somehow craft that item to have a different look? (by adding more materials, I assume?)

I know you can craft an item and then use a TS to switch its appearance, but I’m asking about directly crafting an item with a different look.

Pretty sure transmuting is the only way to accomplish what you’re asking.

There are different sets of armor you can craft, but the separate sets are usually on different rarity/ levels. If what you’re asking is: can you craft sets of similar or same stats/level/rarity of different type skins, then no. Like Revan said, transmuting is how you change the skins, but it also soulbinds it (or account binds if you put it on white rarity items).

Well he was asking about the armors mostly, there’s several weapons that can get different skins, but the kamra armor recipes are usually a rarity in-between the usual crafting levels, like the sawmill set is 23, its the first medium masterwork you can make, and its in between the usual 20-25. That’s what I was trying to get at. Yes there are different types of armor skins you craft but they’re on different tiers or levels than the usual armor. Take heavy for example, you can craft regular scale for 35 or the barbarian rare set at 35, but they are different rarities and require different amounts of mats.
