Guild Wars 2

I love to put the time in to farm all my own materials and level crafting so I can make everything I need in a game. I’ve been level 80 for a while and I want to make a destoyer weapon. I have all the other parts but no matter how many mobs or events I go to and kill “destroyer” labled mobs in I don’t get any cores. I know how to make the lodestones but I don’t want to have to buy all the cores. There are plenty on trading post so others have found them but no search has helped, no googling has helped and no one will say in game. I know I’m stupid for not finding them yet but it’s getting frustrating. Please can someone give me a hint on how they located them? Thanks.

I’ve seen mention (gw2db.com) that destroyer lodestones drop from Destroyers in Mount Maelstrom, though I’ve never seen any myself.
