Can anyone confirm that all recipes, so long as they are in the same tier, give the same xp for discovery?

I’ve been upping my weaponsmithing and I’m on my last 10 points. Yay! I’m obviously doing it by discovering exotic recipes, however, I’ve noticed that when I make an Apothecary exotic I seem to get far less xp than making a Berserker or Knight for example. Can anyone confirm that using the non-tradition T6 mats for exotics nets less xp (snowflakes, karka shells, halloween stuff, etc)? Did I just happen to get less xp those couple of discovers vs greater for the other perhaps? Just wanted to find out before I waste any more ori/elder wood!

Thanks!

The discovery itself should give identical crafting xp for all recipes of the same required level. Every exotic craft requres level 400, so they all give the same discovery xp. Discovery xp is not affected by critical-crafting-success.

In addition to the crafting xp, you will also get item-creation crafting xp. That has a chance to grant a +50% bonus to xp.

Additionally, item-creation xp drops off as your crafting level gets higher. A craft performed at level 490 will give less xp than one performed at level 410.

Celestial crafted exotics seem to give substansially less XP than others, not sure why. Even given that you learn the recipe and don’t discover it, I only got somewhere between half and one third the crafting XP I got from crafting another exotic.

I crafted a Celestial broadsword and sabre at around 480 ish Weaponsmithing, and got about one level of crafting xp each. I made another exotic I’d already discovered after and got about three times that.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that the recipes were added slightly differently from new ones like Apothecary and Settler’s, and the resulting weapons are also different and account bound.
