So, I finally got around to leveling my Armorsmith, which is no mean feat in itself

I then thought it would be nice to make a set of Ascended Armour, starting with the Chest.

What a convoluted nightmare that turned out to be. Can I go and make 1 or 2 component parts? Not a hope, I have to craft 10 separate recipes from 15 different ingredients. So I assume it will be the same for the other 5 parts of the Armour set?

Why can you not simplify the top end recipe to include all the required component parts and materials in one place instead of having to keep jumping through hoops to find each individual recipe?

I spent 20 minutes creating a spreadsheet of components and materials in order to make sense of it, and that is for 1 Chestpiece!!!

I was under the impression Crafting was supposed to be a relaxing pastime from the toils of war, not an exercise in Advanced Mathematics

See if you can maybe find a guide on a third-party site? I found the wiki’s ascended armor page to be sufficient to plan as a tailor without any further effort on my part :/

Note that if you do anything that can drop ascended armor chests, it may be better to start with parts that use fewer mats, so you can get the chestpiece (which is mighty expensive) essentially for free if you’re lucky with a drop.

Thank you for the info, hopefully it will make Ascended crafting a little less painless
