So I have more TA and AC tokens than I know what to do with. If I buy four of the same weapons, can I toss them into the Mystic Forge for a chance at a Precursor? Or is there some sort of built-in block on dungeon weapons…?

not like it matters ive used more Extoics greatswords then u can count and have yet to get my Dusk…

Afaik it can be done and I personally have been doing for a while. While haven’t been successful in getting a precursor, it is one of the ways you can get rid of excess tokens. The exotics you get out of the MF can be sold on the TP.

It is not the most efficient way to get a precursor but in a way it doesn’t really eat into your current gold pool.

yes you can got the hunter out of random exotics, I take the tokens and buy shields warhorns and torches, throwing different combos into the forge allows for any possibility so I could get a worthless precursor or hit the jackpot.

It is still different. Excess tokens is related to dungeons and tokens occupy bank space.

a friend did this this morning, 4 AC offhands (all different, chance at any weapon) and got Howl the Howler precursor.

not the best, but proves it’s possible.

Yeah, my buddy has been doing this and recently got Dusk. Going to start doing it with my extra tokens as well.
