Hi,

One the most efficient ways I use to get globs of ectoplasm for crafting is to buy rare armor using my hard earned dungeon tokens and then salvaging the armor for ectos.

I have just salvaged fifty pieces of rare armor using master salvage kits and got exactly 0 (zero) ectos.

Surely this cannot be right? I don’t believe this is simply down to RNG. Is this a nerf?

Maybe someone from anet could kindly confirm or deny, thank you.

I seem to remember there was an official nerf of this many months back? Queen Jubilee time or even before?

I’m sure you know this, but I’m just going to say it because it is a possibility, were they the correct level (70 plus I think?)

I’m sure that isn’t the issue, but I wanted to throw it out there. If there is a nerf that blows

humm I don’t recall seeing one but then again I don’t follow every single update.

The last time I did this was about 2 – 3 months ago and I got loads of ectos. Ill have a route through the past release notes.

Which dungeon exactly?

Ok it was just me being a dumb kitten , just salvaged 10 pieces of HotW armor and got 4 ectos.

That’s exactly why I asked which dungeon. Only CoF, CoE, HoTW and Arah rare armors gives ectos because they are lvl 70+.

Ecto salvage should still be lv 68+ rare or exotic. Though exotic gear starts at lv 62 someone will need to confirm lv 62 gear does not produce ecto for exotics.

Just salvaged 112 rare crafted items with mystic salvage kits and got 100 ecto’s BUT there has been a stealthy nerf put in and now you do not get any luck essences from salvaging crafted items.

Luck essences never come from rares, only blue and green items.
