So i was in malchors leap and i bumped into one of SoS’s players who have eternity.
I whispered her and ask how long it took and she said 2 weeks, I couldn’t believe it. I asked her how she made over 800g and 2mil karma in 2 weeks and she said she borrowed some money from friends and just farmed karma for 2 weeks. She also did map completion in this time. Can anyone tell me if you know how this person managed this? I mean i know some people could play for 16 hours strait… But are people REALLY that dedicated to getting a vanity item in a video game? I farm plinx for an hour and get so bored i go do some map completion..
The map completion seems possible. I could see you doing it in two weeks. (If you rush through everything.) Prices were much lower back then. So the money is possible. Her friends were possibly gold sellers. Who knows.

yeah map completion can be done in a week, but the karma is what i find hard to believe. She also had very broken English which leads me to assume (I’m not trying to be racist) she could be associated with gold sellers as 98% of gold sellers i have seen speak very poor English.
That’s a very narrow minded view i know.
Wouldn’t say impossible, also she needed more than 800g to get eternity, it’s actually around 1600g if she didn’t get her hands earlier on cheap precursors and gifts.

Ive done countless hours of research, i have a friend who is a professional power trader. And he can only make 20g a day. So what the hell can you farm that makes you more money then that? You would need 13+ lodestones a day or 12+ exotics to drop.
It could be done i think, i was averaging 15% a day solid map completion which puts that part alone at about 7 days and i was karma/ gold farming at about 16k karma/ 2-4 gold an hour.
125 hours or 5 days earns 2m Karma & 250 – 500 gold, assuming they picked up the precursors cheaply or less then the 275 gold average that would give 3 days to farm money and then some gem buying to make up the last 400 or so gold.

yes.. i dont know if you know much about the TP, but the buy to sell ratio is messed up on nearly every item. You wither buy something that buy’s instantly or you sell something that doesnt sell for 5 days.

Well, he must really, REALLY suck if he’s a professional:P
Let’s say he/she gets all the gold for free to get precursors dusk+dawn and all the mats. World Maps completion should take 2-3 days to get it done if your server is wining wvwvw that is. 500 Badges of Honor should take 2-3 days too if he or she hardcore wvwvw. There is no way he/she could make 2 mils Karma in less than 10 days. If you want to make sure ask he/she their total play time! They probably trolled and said 2 weeks to make them feel more pro.
As for me I play over 1000 hours and have 2 Legendaries, about to make 3. So yea, they probably trolled.

She did mention help from friends… Who’s to say her entire guild didn’t contribute? 1 person can’t farm the weapon from scratch in 2 weeks…but 50-100 people who already have some of the mats…why not? I also watched a friend of mine buy 4 rare lvl 80 staffs, put them in MF and leave with The Legend. First try. Some people are just born lucky(and I hate them for it). And he actually offered to give it to me if I wanted to craft The Bifrost. So, anyway, is it legit? Nobody can tell but that person. Can it be legit? Absolutely. Is this topic fuelled by jealousy? You bet it is….

4 Rare 80 Staffs got me my ‘The Legend’ after 32 attempts but on the flip-side ive spoken to people who have tried hundreds of times and gotten nothing.
A professional player in full MF armour playing a 12 hour day could raise about 45 gold farming Plinx chains + surrounding events in Cursed Shore.
Any more arguing is pointless. Everybody trolls & says whatever to make their kitten is bigger than everyone else. Grats to him that he got Eternity but he still die like everyone else in pvp

It wasn’t always like this. When the game first came out the prices were all over the place. I’d imagine this guy was an alpha tester, so when all of us were still in the noob area trying to figure out wtf we’re supposed to do, he was rushing his character to level 80, doing 100% map completion and collecting gold. Then when the TP came on for the first time he’d just buy off all the cheap mats and flip them around.
Buy Mystic Coins, etc, cause they were like 50copper each at that time.
Not to mention the precursors being at 50-60g. It’s not hard to imagine getting over 1500g in a week, if you know what you’re doing.
Heck, if I knew back then what I know now I would have so much money in this game that I wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Just a question…why would a gold seller blow that much gold on a vanity wep by soul binding it? You might argue that they are a gold buyer, but that is different. You don’t need broken-english to buy gold.

With all respect – seems like your friend is nowhere near professional. I FARMED (didn’t have anything stocked up) resources needed for Vision of the Mists (costed me around 90g back then to craft) in 4 days, that is playing “only” 8-9 hours a day. So I guess one could farm way more in a day if he only dedicated more hours to it.

It’s pretty obvious how it’s possible. With help from others. And I don’t like horses. I also don’t like people who point and scream “cheater” when they are jealous.
