Well I have noticed that sentinel’s armor recipes was able to drop only during the last event before Cove event, so now peaple manipulate These armor prives in black lion market couse only some peaple can make it, now 1 peace goes for 8g + and before 1 week they were for 6. and there is no another way just to buy from market or try to find kind person who can make u cheaper… I think its unfair that there is time or armor that can be crafted only from event recipe without any other way to get this recipe couse spending 50 gold for 1 armor set is stupid then its only armor with stats u want.

Plz, do somethink more fair about it.

I don’t worry about this as you can get same stat armour from temples and AC dungeon for free only takes about a week of farming tokens or karma

Sentinel != Soldier, your argument is incorrect.

You can’t get full soldier gear from temples (no soldier helmet) but the full sentinel sets are sold in wvw for badges + minimal gold which you ought to have hundreds if not thousands of badges at this stage of the game.

Except there are plenty of people who have played this game for many months and have never WvW’d because they have no interest in doing so.

Valid point. Guess if you’re not interested in 50k karma a day and gaining tons of XP and loot wvw isn’t interesting at all :-P

Both these guys are wrong. Instance give Soldiers. and WvW give Invaders, which are also Soliders.

So now the Trading Post is your friend to get Sentinel

This being said, it is easy to understand why they get more and more expensive. I would be surprised if sentinel weapons and armor don’t come back very soon so be patient. And if you do have gold, buy some now and sell them in a few days, there is absolutely no reason for the prices to go down until Anet anounces when they will be readded.

The Ultimate Citizens Rescue Bag has a chance to drop exotic sentinel armor and weapons and you can salvage the exotic insignias/inscriptions off them. Weapons start at 1.5g on buy order, armor starts at 2g on buy order.

I bought 2 stacks (500) of blue sentinel inscriptions because they were cheaper than every other blue inscription on the TP.

I plan to sell them to crafters.

Its a good thought. As soon as they are cheaper to buy than crafting any other blue inscription, they will appear at a crafting guide of gw2crafts.net.
Apart from that, you might want to look into salvaging sentinel inscriptions and insignias from dropped loot.

Yeah…about that….out of the roughly 10 pieces I’ve tried to salvage (using a BL kit no less) I never got a single inscription out of them. If they’re going to make this crap so difficult to get….at least make it a guaranteed salvage…. Absolutely ridiculous

In the last month i salvaged 240 exotic sentinel gear with BLSK (57% dropped insignias/inscriptions) and 1250 with master salvage kit (42% droprate).

The Ultimate Citizens Rescue bag dropped exotic sentinel armor and weapons that had sigils/runes on them and so were salvageable for insginias/inscriptions. They were quite cheap on the tp too, starting at 1-1.5g during the event.
Those drops were responsible for the sentinel insignia/inscription to tank in price by over 30%.

I can see having bad luck with such a small sample size…but I would expect at least ONE especially using a max kit…It’s not like I was flushing things down the mystic toilet…I was salvaging gear. Might as well not even had the option to salvage it at all if they were gonna weigh it so heavily with rng that it wasn’t worth wasting the salvages on. And btw salvaging rng isn’t the same thing as mystic toilet rng. Salvage rates are controlled and set so they could very well have adjusted this better (mystic flusher is controlled too, but not as rigidly as salvaging)

I guess my whole complaint is just how poorly they handled this whole stat combo. Limited release of the recipes, limited (and imo expensive means) of obtaining the insignias, and pointless salvaging gimmicks on seldom dropped gear. I just don’t understand why they keep doing stuff like this. Ranks up there with the celestial fiasco

sentinel inscriptions can not be crafted. they can be bought, though, which was why I didn’t know about their salvagability at first. but I can confirm you can get them from salvaging sentinel weapons.
anything crafted does not give inscriptions. So Sentinel’s Pearl, Sentinel’s Destroyer, and Sentinel’s Quaggan do NOT give inscriptions.
the odds of getting zero inscriptions from 10 items with a BLSK is aprox 1 in 9,500. not nearly as impossible as other odds I’ve seen on here.
