Farming Platinum Ore

The lake in the South West corner of Bloodtide Coast usually has about 8 platinum nodes in it. They move around after server resets so there’s no way to be specific, but they’re always in the lake, and I believe they respawn after about 30-40 minutes so you can always stick a character nearby (or 2) and switch to it every little while and hit the nodes. Be warned however, the lake is full of risen. If you’re careful and take things a little on the slow side you can usually hit all the nodes without too many fights (that makes it a lot faster).
The zone to the south of that, Sparkfly Fen, also has quite a bit of Platinum in it, with a mix of gold and some other stuff, so it might be worth running around in there for the extra stuff (Hard Wood, various herbs and such). If you just want platinum though, Bloodtide Coast.
Alternatively to switching characters that SW corner has two events that cycle fairly frequently, a risen invasion followed by a small escort, with maybe a ten minute lapse before it starts again (assuming the risen don’t already control the location, in which case you’d have to take it back first)

There is quite a lot of Platinum in the Eternal Battleground and all level 50-70 regions.
the ore nodes change place each time the servers update. thats why there is little to non maps of any ore nodes that is not orichalcum ore, ancient logs and omnom berry.
The level zone 50-60 in Shiverpeaks is full of platinum as most any other area lvl 50 -60, just can’t remember the zone name.
To add to that, the lower level areas in Mount Maelstrom also seemed to contain quite a few nodes when I last levelled there. Specifically I noticed this in the western part of the map, including the volcano.
Like has been said before, this changes with patches so it might not be so good right now (or it could be even better).

If you need the ore for crafting, you may consider buying it on TP. 250 platinum costs about 25 silver. Instead of farming platinum you could do cof p1 once and get 3 stacks in 10-15 minutes.
