When you go from Exotic to Ascended do you re-pick the stats you want?

I don’t think so. You chosed your stats when you took the exotic one. They won’t change after that.

Yeah the wiki gives the general recipe, for any exotic fractal back.

If you mean forging your Exotic Fractal backpiece into an Ascended Fractal backpiece, you can indeed pick new stats. The forge returns a brand new item that is now ascended.

Wrong. I recently made a soldier’s fractal capacitor and it stayed soldiers all the way upgrading.

The only ones that let you choose are the ones that used to have magic find stats originally made from T6(book/quiver).

yes. you cannot change stats. you can choose offensive or defensive infusion slot by using crystals or philos, check wiki for which is which. once you buy a certain stat combo for those 1350 relics, that back piece is stuck with that stat combo.

ive made like 5 pink ones.

the only way you could ever choose stats was when magic find was removed and the vicious claw back piece changed to be selectable stats (idk if it still is).

Interesting, I stand corrected. I was just basing this off of Spinal/Mawdrey backpiece cycles, as those let me rechoose the stats when I forged the next step. Silly fractal backpieces.
