Guild Wars 2

Title says it all. I’m working towards making a fractal capacitor, however I would eventually like to use it on an alt. I simply do not have the time to grind to make it twice, so can anyone who has made the beta or final fractal capacitor comment on whether or not upgrading it via the mystic forge un-soulbinds it?

Ideally I would like to make the beta on my current character, and once I manage to scrape together another 250 ectos upgrade it to the final version and use it on my alt.

I have just upgraded the basic capacitor bought with fractal tokens to the infused one.

I was wearing it and it was soulbound.

After the upgrade it became account bound and when equiped asked if i wanted to soul bind it.

I haven’t upgraded further yet but you can probably do what you wanted and pass it to an alt after further upgrades.

Thanks guys, that’s exactly the info I was looking for.

Would be nice if ascended and higher that aren’t obtained from RNG would simply be account bound, then we wouldn’t have to worry about what character to use them on.
