Q:

When I am out gathering, I get:
Plants: 1
Ore: 3
Trees: 3

Sometimes, my wife gets additional gathers. For example, she may be able to gather 4 times from an Ore.

This is not ‘oh she got a double drop from one hit’. This is ‘she gets to push “Mine” a 4th time" or ’She can gather from a Plant a second time.’

Any ideas why she gets this extra occasional harvest and I never do? I can’t think of anything different about the characters.. we are in the same clan, hunting in the same area, and using the same tools.

Thanks!

A:

It’s the WvW bonus but there is a bug where some people do not get the bonus, see https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Bugged-World-Bonuses/first#post421525

This is because of WvW bonuses, I believe. There is a buff where you are able to get additional harvests from nodes. Perhaps she is just luckier than you with that bonus?

That’s a reasonable idea, but we run three pairs of characters together, and two of those pairs at 80. I have never gotten an extra gather in that time. And I’ve been paying attention

I don’t really know what to tell you then. There is nothing that I know of that can passively increase chances of additional harvests that aren’t listed as an actual buff, other than WvW bonuses.

I have put many hours into the game an gathering and always get 3 on a Rock, 10 on a Rich Rock, 3 on a Tree, and 1 on a Gather.

Are you sure you both are counting the same way and neither have been drinking? The correct order is 1….2….3……
