Here’s the wiki so I won’t have to explain as much:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gift_of_Blades

So I noticed I can create Deldrimor Steel Ingots through the Artificer trade. Unfortunately I don’t know if that effects my ability to get the Gift of Blades or is the crafting solely exclusive to Armorsmith?

The reason why I ask is because I main a necromancer and I know those need light armor. I’ve also begun to create 15 Bolts of Damask in preparation for the case that the Gift of Blades from Artificer doesn’t work.

So if I create the Gift of Blades, does it matter if it’s from Artificer or Tailor or does it have to be exclusive to your type of armor you wear?

Thank you.

There are 3 recipes for the Gift of Blades, for the 3 armorsmithing professions. The only difference between them is the Ascended Refined Material you use to craft it (Elonian LEather, Deldrimor Ingot, Bolt of Damask).

Your Class and armor type that you are wearing has nothing to do with the profession you choose to craft the gift of blades with. The only difference is the price, as Elonian Leather is the cheapest atm.

Wanze is right. Gift of Blades recipe:
250 Blade shards
10 Pile of Crystalline Dust
1 Watchwork mechanism
15 ascended materials of your choice (Deldrimor or Damask or Elonian)

just make sure to buy the recipe you need
They cost 3g + 250 found belongings, and are purchasable in a few places:

apparently Miyani sells them for 5g? But Miyani wiki doesn’t reflect this, so iuno. Make sure to buy the one you need before you can’t get belongings anymore.

I bought the Leather one, increased my Leatherworker from 400 to 500, crafted it, and moved it to my Warrior. It is account bound and backpieces do not have a light-medium-heavy restriction.

Hi all,

is there still a way to craft gift of blades and upgrade Advanced spinal blades piece?
It seems we are not able to craft it now… I have all needed, but can’t add the Watchwork Mechanism to the forge. But I’d really wanted to have Dynamic Tempered Spinal Blades skin…

thank you for the answer

Did you try to put it in the Forge even though it was greyed out? The Forge interface FREQUENTLY bugs out and does not display items that work together.

Take a second look at how to make it. Yes, you still can make it.
