I don’t raid, I barely fractal, and I suck beyond words at PvP and WvW.
But I try, and that’s what counts.
I guess this is as good a place as any, seeing this forum has no actual suggestions area.
But of all the armor skins that there was to choose from, why did we only get Primevil, Krytan, and Profane?
Will there ever be any other armor sets carried over?
My suggestion, and the reason it’s in the crafting subforum, is to either make the different stated Ascended armors different skins. I.e. Berserker stat armor looks different from Ravaging stat armor.
Or!
A future living story event could contain a rare chance at crafting recipes to make GW1 armor skins or even full stat armors.
I’m only suggesting this because I was never a fan of the profane armor, there are so many other, better choices for light armors from GW1. For instance, the Elementalist armors. Maybe someday the trade routes to Cantha will be reopened and we could see Kurzick and Luxon armors? Iunno, maybe I’m a fool for this. But There were so many awesome looking armors in the first guild wars, I just want to see more of them carry over to GW2.
The elite Elementalist armours in GW1 were lovely, the pyro-, geo-, hydro- and aeromancer armours. It was quite nice how each profession got different armours. However I guess the idea here is less about the profession and more about the races, hence the racial armours.
The original Primeval armour in GW1 is better than the GW2 version, particularly the shoulder pads. I don’t really want the skull of some animal as a pauldron.
For a long time I have wished they would add in the old armors from Guild Wars Prof.-EotN. The regular armors could be 400 crafting with exotic stats, while the elite armors would require 500 crafting with ascended stats. All the armors are account bound on acquired and allow you to choose what stat set you want on it.
Hell you could even earn these armors in the form of crafting recipes from the large boss fights we have like Shadow Behemoth, Shatterer, Tequatal, etc.
If they do this then for the love of god don’t just stretch the armor out on the races other than humans. Add little special things that fit on the different races so that it doesn’t have terrible clipping issues.
This would be something that finally gets me, and i’m sure many others, into trying to achieve 500 crafting.
My personal favorite of all the GW1 “Light armor” classes was the female necromancer’s Vabbian armor. And for males was the Monk’s Elite Kurzick.
So, biased-ly I’d like to see those armors come back… >__o¿
What about taking the EotN armors. And making a racial crafting with them?
I.e. Asura characters can make EotN Asuran armor, Norn characters can craft the norn armor, Humans have the Vanguard armor. I know they’d have to add armors for the Sylvari and Charr. But why, if it’s the same place and the same people, just in the future, did we lose the option of an obscene amount of armor looks?
What if we changed the lower-tier crafting so that the fine, masterwork, ad rare armor looks were different in each tier of materials? I.e Wool fine and masterworks could be one armor, and the wool rare set could be the elite version, and have Cotton, linen, and silk be a whole different look, instead of all the tiers of rare armor being exactly the same?
Another idea my wife gave me was to have another reward for people whom have linked Gw1 and 2, and have gotten all 50 HoM points. She said give them armor skins of any armors they dedicated in GW1.
I always have so many ideas and suggestions in games that people most people like and agree with. Why is there no official place for suggestions in this forum? :[

Because Anet closed the suggestions forum due to all the infighting that went on
My Ritualist Asuran armor from Guild Wars 1.
The skirt was made out of feathers and you could dye it blue so it looked like blue jay feathers. (Sigh).
(The 3rd one is someone’s personal collection of Guild Wars 1 female Ritualist armor, mostly minus the helms that go with each set)

Again, we went from so many different looks to choose from to what we have, and I’ll be it with the gem store armors there is quite a few, but not as many as GW1.

That makes sense. Disappointing, but it makes sense. :[
