I finally got around to harvesting with mythril harvesting tools today and was excited to see a bush of raspberries. All I ended up getting were 2 berries. Why on earth does a single berry bush of raspberries only have 2 fruit on it? And I used mythril tools to boot.

I have never gotten such a small amount in any bush harvest I ever picked up. Seems like there is a problem with the amount. I did not even get anything else with them as sometimes I do with other harvestables.

All harvesting nodes harvested by a sickle only offers 1 chance of harvest with a random amount of material harvested + some junk/unidentified.

…. Is this a joke? Please say this is a parody of all the people saying that the forge/crafting/gathering is broken because of a single occurence of bad luck, so -obviously- the devs stealth nerfed everything…

And the worst part is the cost of the equipment out ways the return received when you take into consideration the fact you destroy a piece each time you use it.

How much does a single raspberry sell for on the TP? 88c according to GW2Spidy.
If you got 2 raspberries per harvest, those 200 raspberries would sell for 1.76g.

You can get 2? I didn’t know that yields over 1 existed.

From a lore/realism perspective, that is not 2 berries, that is 2 units (bunch, basket, bushel—whatever) of berries. I can’t imagine a recipie that would call for a single berry.

Sickles only have 50 uses, so it would be 88s, less fees, which is still a hefty profit. Even at one per bush, thats 44s.

I only got 2 (two) raspberries, not 200. Do not know what math you are using, but 2 raspberries do not = 200. Also, I have not seen raspberries sell for very much, definitely not at much as 88 copper each, more like less than 15 copper each.

200 from using your entire harvesting tool on raspberries. But there are actually only 50 uses on a sickle, so 2 per plant would mean 100 per sickle. Which is still a profit!

Heck, even if you only get 1 per plant, 1.6s for the tool to get 50 raspberries. If they sell at 15c each, that’s 7.5s. Minus fees and it’s 6.45s. So at minimum, you’ve made 4.85s profit. Which isn’t terrible.

Sickles only have 50 charges, but still, what everyone else said.

Ok, I see where you are coming from on this. However, so far I have only seen one (1) raspberry bush. I ran around in the Norn area trying to find more but only found that one bush. I am hoping now that I can get into more areas, I’ll see more but am not holding my breath.

I found a lot of onions, sesame seeds, mature herbs but only one raspberry bush.

That is not quite the same as what you said in the original. If you just want to know where to find Raspberry nodes then you should have just said that instead of meandering all over the place.

According to the wiki there are 8 raspberry nodes in Fireheart Rise and only 2 in Frostgorge Sound so you would be better off in Fireheart Rise. I am around 75% done with fireheart and I have 6 Raspberries in my storage so you still shouldn’t be expecting to be a huge amount.

Yes you are correct, I should have specified, but did not write it clearly enough. Sorry about that. But I will try Fireheart to see if I can find more of the nodes. Apparently I only found 1 of the 2 in Frostgorge even though I wandered all through that area with a friend last evening.

We got a lot of other stuff but only the one raspberry node. Seems strange there would only be a total of 10 nodes in the entire game judging by the wealth of other types of nodes.

Yep. Wait till you get a good WvW gathering buff going later in the week. I have harvested a single raspberry bush 5 times in a row and have gotten between 1 and 3 for each harvest. Those were good days.
