Guild Wars 2

So I got a steel dagger blade and hilt, a seasoned inscription and I put them together. Instead of getting a steel dagger, I get an iron one.

Am I completely lost?

Usually shouldnt happen. Which seasoned inscription did you use?

Hearty. And I got a hearty iron axe out of it.

You can’t craft them.

Well, getting an axe from a dagger blade and hilt is quite unusual.

I would suggest reporting it in the bug forum.

Yeah, that’s… bizarre. I’d report it as a probable bug.

More info…if you make a steel version, you have two items in your crafting list with the same name, even though they use different components and have different stats. lol

I think he meant that he made a dagger first, and then made an axe after that?

Not a bug, just a side-effect of one of the changes made with the wardrobe. All craftable gear was renamed to match the skin of the weapon. Iron and Steel weapons used the same skins, so now that Steel tier of weaponry has names that match Iron (as do the Seasoned and Soft Wood weapons).

The skin’s name is IRON even tho the actual item has STEEL stats…. Kind of a FUBAR of the wardrobe changes, IMO.

Tried to make a malign rifle. Got 2 Bloodstone Dust. Worst exploit ever.
