Guild Wars 2

I just got my precursor for the incinerator. It only took me like 50g and I have about 80g left over. I was looking at all the materials needed for it and just materials for all the gifts on about 700g. I was just wondering how people got 700g+ for legendaries. I run cof about 5 times a day and doing events in Orr doesnt get me that much gold.
Does anyone know any tricks to get gold? I have most of the other non gold stuff. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Running CoF 5 times a day is your first problem. You need to run it like 50 times a day or play the TP or just play normal for a few months till you get the cash. The only way really is to just grind grind grind till your eyes bleed or you could buy gems and convert to gold which I think is really what Anet wants everyone to do with all the nerfs to farming they have done. You got lucky with a precursor for 50g, now it’s time to put in the blood, sweat and tears for the rest of the mats.

What other grinds are there besides cof?

Well you used to be able to actually do world farming from events, trash mobs and stuff like that. Like you could actually “play the game” and make decent cash while doing so but it seems the game has been nerfed after nerfed and is being pigeonholed into 3 things. Buy gems with real cash and convert to gold, run cof till your eyes bleed or play the TP.

Took me about 5 months of playing for 2-3 hours a day to get bout 1000g for precursor and all stuff needed to make Bolt. I farmed almost all mats myself except Charged Lodes.

If you are not in a hurry it is doable without serious CoF grind :P

running cof 10 times a day would amount to about 5+g. After that you could gather, if you have say 3 alts + a main gathering all T5 and T6 you come across in orr and frostgorge over 3 servers thats a hefty amount of gold. It is also another way to finish things like the gifts of metal and wood without much of a grind at all.
Stopping to do events etc along the way makes it less of a grind.
