They may be saving it for level 500 ascended crafting, after all it is the most superior foodstuff on the planet!

Boars, pigs, pinipal, marmox, and whatever else is appropriate (quaggan?) should drop Slabs of Pork. This, in turn, could be used to cook everything from Grilled Pork Chops to Honeyed Ham to Sausages to Bacon (and all the wonderful dishes Bacon is contained within…Bacon Cheeseburgers, etc).
