I thought it would be interresting to hear how people gamble for their precursors.
What do you find to be the best way?
Exotic/rare?
Do you do it in large ammounts?
Or just a little by little?
Do you use specific combos? 4xGS etc, or random cheap exo/rares for random wep type outcome?

Also, how do you deal with a loss?
Do you beat your keyboard, maybe even ragequit?
Do you accept it and move on? ^^

I have way to many times spent like 300 – 500 g in one major all in. I can’t stand this anymore lol. It have caused me to ragequit the game a couple of times
The best way to keep gambling for precursor is in my opinion to find a system that you can remain sane from ^^
I find the best way for me is to just use everything I’ve earned at the end of the day. I don’t get mad when I loose it. I’m expecting not to get anything, but when it actually does happen .. That feeling
Guess it helps that I have the legendaries that I want the most now, so I don’t care THAT much about my G anymore as I used to.
I have only received 1 precursor using rares. Out of tons of rares.
I don’t remember how many I’ve gotten using exotics, so yeah .. Even though it’s little tries and almost guarenteed loss of G if you don’t get a precursor or exotic with a strength rune .. I still have MUCH more luck with this ..

After I have gotten the 3 legendaries I wanted the most, I don’t really feel like any of the others is worth the long grind. So i’m fine with gambling my gold away ^^

My wife and I have a few guild banks we share with our accounts. We deposit all rares and exotics into them and on my main character I forge with. Its tedious to remove them all from the guild banks, but I usually forge with no less than 400-500 rares and exotics. I also craft a lot of Krait weapons. It has worked really well so far. Every precursor I have gotten is from the forge. I have never gotten one off mob loot.

Yeah, same here after like 4.5 k hours. Never seen a precursor outside of MF sadly.

In terms of rares I forge 4 of a kind swords, greatswords, staves, and daggers. The rest I mix.

When it comes to exotics I sell swords, greatswords, staves, and daggers. The rest I forge with mystic forge stones as the 4th (ofc given sigil value is not there)

And yeah I can echo no pres outside of forge/tp….8,140 hours.

Craft 20 rares at a time and throw them in

Hold on to exotics, once I have two I will buy a dungeon weapon I need to unlock the skin of and throw them in with a forge stone.

Sure, if you are going after a specific pre for your leg. But if you just want to gamble you get much cheaper forges with cheap random exotics and mystic forge stones.

Step 1: place a bucket next to your desk.
Step 2: spend all your gold at the forge.
Step 3: be sad after no Pre.
Step 4: use bucket to catch tears.
Step 5: save up more gold to buy a Pre.

Joking aside. This morning I woke up way to early (4 am) and couldn’t go back to sleep.
Decided to start my daily dungeon tour that I’ve done since shortly after launch. I have 12 Exo/Asc. geared 80s with over 5.5k hours and have never got/had/dropped/forged a Pre.
Instead of starting with AC like normal, I see a LFG for TA “need help etc”. So I join my friends are all still sleeping. Halfway through the run, in the room with the Wardens, I hop into a portal and rez a guy downed inside the bubble. I then lay waste to the Warden and…“OMG GUYS!!!!”….there I sit in awe as the proud new owner of The Legend. Totally made my day and was thankful I joined to help this team of squishies (I use my Guardian for TA). My first Pre in over two years and it just so happens to be the Pre for one of only two Legendaries that I like! (Bolt being the other.) Iv’e had all the generic parts for a while in hopes they’d release a new series of Legendaries. Instead, I guess I’ll be the proud owner of Bifrost by the weekend. What a cool way to start the day by helping a random group of strangers for my first path of my tour and first Pre ever.
