Q:

Been trying to use search options, nothing came up and still trying to figure out how to add inscription i made to the weapon i made as well. I tried to look under help section while in-game or talk to crafting trainer (artifacter), does anyone know how to add inscriptions to items?? I remember picking up one from loot, all you have to do is right click the item you want to enhance.

Inscriptions are materials used to create weapons, not augment them.

You can craft a weapon using the inscription.

Inscription is a crafting component. If you want weapon with specific stats (specific inscription) you must either craft a weapon with that inscription or buy a weapon with that inscription from trading post. If you want to change the stats (inscription) of weapon, you need to transmute it to another weapon with the stats (inscription) you want.

some of the inscriptions you can find using the discovery panel
Inscriptions are used to make the “Base Stats” of a weapon or Customize it if you will.

With a few exceptions, all weapons are made from three parts:

1. Handle/Shaft/Grip
2. Blade/Head/Barrel/String
3. Inscription

Once the weapon has been created (i.e. it is in your inventory), you can “enchant” it with a Sigil.

It sounds like you have already used the Inscription to make the weapon. What you need to acquire now is a Sigil which is a separate thing from the Inscriptions.

To apply a Sigil, open your hero page (H button) and double-click on the Sigil, then double click on your weapon. If there is already a Sigil on the weapon it will ask you to confirm that you wish to REPLACE the existing Sigil with the new Sigil.

It kinda strange, but i manage to figure it out. By crafting your mats along with inscription you want to add, then goto Discovery Tab and place all those mats in there to make it.

Sorry for bringing this up, if they mention it on help/tutorial i wouldnt have ask this question in the first place.

GW2 crafting is a very bloated and directionless system. It doesn’t surprise that there is so much confusion, and I expect there to be a lot more than what is present in the forums.
