Anyone have a guide for 400-500 huntsman? I tried to use search function but no results (does it even work optimal?) Nonetheless, any help would be appreciated.

That guide doesn’t seem to make any considerations for Ascended Material crafting, which you can at least for a bit to make some levels at 450-475

Which is kinda useless atm since it’s only used to make the 2 bows. I COULD be wrong since Rangers are the 2nd most played class buuuttt could be more casual rangers so they wouldnt/might not think about ascended. I actually leveled Huntsman without thinking and am sadden, I actually wanted to do weaponsmith for daggers/swords/spear but no rush to level a 2nd crafting profession for me.

Ascended is sooo easy to make, with the only setback is the time gated materials.

the only time gating is for the steel and the wood, both of which can be purchased on the trading post. we should all have more bloodstone dust then we will ever use and the other two are equally easy to get. the time gate in my mind is the time it take to get to 500 but that is also solved by thrown money at it. I’ve seen a number of posts already of peeps with one if not two ascended weapons already.

PS. nice little trick to get the “Star Fragments” I forget there name right now, is simple world chests, all chests that are tucked away out in the world guarded by some random vet give 2 to 4 fragments just like the chests at the end of JP’s. and can be looted by every character in your account. there are 6 in Queensdale alone x5 or 6 characters that’s 100 in about 1 hour without ever living Queensdale.

It’s a very nice guide but I would like to Point out that there are cheaper ways of getting 500.

You can make Master Maintenance Oil to get to 440.

And then as already was pointed out those ascended materials help you from 450 – 475.

Well, they have said that armor will be added this year so I don’t consider it kinda useless.

But on the other hand I wouldn’t recommand any doing huntsman first if you only plan to make daggers/swords…

Wow, 197 gold to reach Huntsman 500.

Also, the Leather Thingy will become very useful in a month or two when Ascended Armor is introduced. If you use medium armor, and you craft the Leather now, you’ll already be halfways there! You just have to make the Damask (which requires Wool, Cotton, Linen, and Silk).
Or,
1) you can make the Elonian Leather Squares now,
2) save them up,
3) ?
4) Profit!!!
