a Embellished Brilliant Coral Jewel. I have what I think are all the mats
1 Glob of Ectoplasm
5 Coral Tentacle
1 Mithril Filigree

But I can’t even see the ecto on the crafting station and I can’t see the filigree at the mystic forge. Can someone help?

You need to buy the recipe from the Jeweler Vendor.

You don’t create it at the forge first of all. Chances are you don’t have the recipe unlocked. You have to buy it from the Master Jewelcrafter for karma before you can create the jewel. After you unlock it you should be able to discover it assuming you have all the ingredients.

Well if you bought the recipe from the trainer (I think that is how you get it) you won’t be able to make it in the discovery tab since you already know it. Check under jewels in the crafting tab

If you already know it you can’t discover it. You should be able to discover things to unlock them. It is possible that his particular item is a bought recipe and not a discovered one. It does not work buying a recipe then discover it… You either buy the recipe and learn it or discover it not both.

Ok, it is a jewelcrafter item and it requires unlock. Requires 375 jewelcrafting lvl. You have the right items and amounts. If you are are past that lvl check your list for this item. Once you unlock a item you will not see any of the items that make this particular item in the item pane unless they are part of other recipes. So if you are not seeing a item that is needed you may have already unlocked it. Go through your list it is probably there already.

This is correct. Be aware of your crafting level vs. recipe level. Also, i have met another obstacle with my toon who is L 392 jeweler. Once you have the recipe, and create the Embellished Brilliant ______ Jewel, crafting an item via standard……. make mithril _______, make mithril setting, put all 3 in discovery does NOT allow for crafting an item. In other words, it appears that the only way to use a E.B._.J. is to 2x click to place it on an already crafted ring, earring, amulet, etc. Not sure if this is intended or bug, but it will make reaching 400 a chalklenge.

Thorynn, did you have three of the Embellished Brilliant __ Jewels? You need 3 per rare. The quantities of each item needed is also shown in the discovery pane right below their respective icons when a valid recipe is inputted. I made them successfully to hit 400 Jeweler a while ago so if you had 3 and it didn’t work, report it as a bug since some recent update must have introduced it.

I knew it was something really stupid on my part. It is the “3” part. i just checked, and don’t know how i missed it. Wow, that makes it a very expensive item to create for the miniscule increase in bonus it offers comparatively speaking.

Just wait until you get to the exotics and you need 5 and also Orichalcum Ore/Ingots…. lol
